About

Bronwyn LeaHi, and welcome to my blog!

I’m Bronwyn: Daughter of God. I’m a wife. An opposer of entropy (a.k.a. A stay at home mom of 3). A writer. A speaker and bible teacher. I’m addicted to ice-cream, the sounds of my children laughing, lattes with friends and Jesus (not in that order). I love puns. I play a respectable game of scrabble. I am the worst potty trainer in the world. I am afraid of Pinterest. I want to drive a mini cooper but I drive a mini van. I’m from Africa and live in America, but I am not African-American.

I think of this blog as my virtual living room: in it you’ll catch snatches of conversations as I think out loud, process current events, welcome others, and answer friends’ and readers’ questions. Readers have their favorite posts, but some of my favorites are lesser known ones such as these:

I write some other places too, and am a proud member of the Redbud Writers Guild.

I love hearing from readers. You can find me (too often, I’m afraid) on Facebook and Twitter, or fill in the form below to get in touch. Thanks for reading!

  1. Yeah!! So excited for you to start this blog Bron. I’ve always looked up to you as a mentor and admire your faith and life so much:) Can’t wait to follow along! Love Katie

  2. Yay for a new blog, and double yay that it’s in WordPress! 😉 Have fun creating, sifting, designing, writing and growing! Glad you’re willing to make this gift of yours available for all of us to benefit from …

  3. “Fueled by grace, laughter and caffeine”. what a good byline. As your loud & proud mom, of course I am also going to add that you have a healthy EQ + IQ, plus a robust sense of humour – and I agree – YAY for this new blog.

  4. You’re African-American, just not black. Black is a much better term. Are black immigrants in the UK or France or Germany or wherever called “African-Europeans” or “Afro-Asians”? Please tell me they’re not. It’s really funny when white pundits refer to black Europeans or otherwise non-American blacks as “African-American”

    • Lol! I certainly think my kids classify as (white) african americans. When I led a short term mission trip back to South Africa with a group of students from California, part of our “cultural awareness training” included the SPECIFIC instruction not to call black South Africans “African Americans” 🙂 it took them a couple of practice sessions to get it right… The political correctness was hard-wired into their vocabulary.

  5. A friend posted your blog post about prayer on fb, which brought me here. Glad I clicked to read it! I intend to share your link with a non-fb friend who is my prayer partner. I like your blog.

  6. Greetings in the name of our dear Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,

I am Nehru Naik, I am native of small and backward village NVK THANDA,
Peddavoora Manadal, Nalagonda District, telagana India. I am
born in a very poor family, my parents were daily wage labours. I
belong to Schedule Tribe community which is most neglected community
    in the society.

Voice calling me ” I NEED YOU MY SON”, I looked here and there but no
one was there. I opened the BIBLE, God spoke to me through the
scriptures, Nahum :1:15. According the Scripture I decided to search
the Gospel to the unreached areas of our society. And started
preaching the gospel in the year 1992 till now preached 56 villages of
our surroundings after taking Bible Training in collage and
established achurch, where saints are worshiping regularly.

One day while mediating the God’s word, God spoken with me by the
Scripture James 1:27 to care of orphan children. Hence, we have
started small orphanage with 14.orphans by providing food, shelter,
    education.

We request you to kindly pray for these children as they need of
school books, bags & fees. We love you to invite you to come to our
children home whenever you visit India.

    With much love &
